Analyst- Coding Operations

What you’ll do:
As an Analyst, Coding Operations you will assist the Coding Management Team in the day-to-day management of Coding Operations with analyzing data, conducting audits to assess the accuracy and completeness of health information data, coding practices, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in obtaining facility access for the coding team including Lifepoint and vendor coders.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret healthcare data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations.
- Runs DNFC, productivity, and other monitoring reports and analyzes data as requested by coding management.
- Assists in monitoring facility staffing needs.
- Use excel skills, data manipulations, Power Apps and other systems to analyze and store coding data
- Responds to requests from hospital departments, physicians, patients, families, etc. that ensures customer service excellence.
- Present ideas and concepts effectively across organizational levels as will be working with physicians, Chief Financial Officers, and hospital department management.
- Develops project work plans, facilitates resource allocation, executes project tasks and obtains assistance from other intra and inter-departmental resources, as required.
- Other duties as needed and assigned by Coding leadership, including but not limited to leading and conducting special projects.
Qualifications - External
What you’ll need:
Education: HS Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, health information management, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years coding and/or HIM analytics experience required.
Certifications: Preferred - Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
