Position Summary
CVS Health offers an exciting opportunity to join our PBM Finance Enablement Team as a Sr. Analytic Consultant within the Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics team. You will be working across our PBM Finance department and the broader organization as we look to transform our business through unlocking the value of PBM rebate and financial operations data and maturing our analytic capabilities. You will be responsible for developing advanced data and analytics products which identify actionable insights and deliver measurable value. This role requires aptitude to identify drivers and essential metrics and will entail developing advanced data models, analyses, and visualizations to empower our financial business stakeholders at all organizational levels. You will be expected to support our business partners across a multitude of systems and applications to help deliver on our commitments in a more efficient manner. To be successful in this role you need to be a self-starter with well-developed critical thinking skills, enjoy working on difficult problems, have strong relationship building, communication, and presentation skills, excellent data engineering, business intelligence, and business analytics skills, and possess a strong drive for fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Work with internal business partners to help identify high value opportunities/critical needs which can be solved through advanced data analytics
Translate opportunities into clear business requirement and technical specifications. Rapidly deliver solutions, using agile methods
Drive creation of compelling reporting and analytics which unlock value and drives actionable insights; tell powerful stories with data
Ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables, applying high standards for quality control throughout the development cycle
Ensure consistent and clear documentation for production-ready BI and Advanced Analytics solutions
Continuously evaluate/evolve processes, best practices, and tools around data analysis, visualization, and storytelling, bringing the most effective to bear
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience executing on data-driven strategies
4+ years of development experience in SQL, Python, or other querying languages
4+ years of experience with Datawarehouse platforms (SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, etc.) and/or cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, etc.)
3+ years of development experience within Tableau, Power BI, or other data-viz platforms
3+ years of experience analyzing claims data and/or other large datasets
3+ years of experience converting business requirements into technical specifications
2+ years of experience using data mining/wrangling software (Alteryx, Trifacta, SAS, or others)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating within an agile delivery model
Prior healthcare and/or finance experience and domain knowledge, especially within the health insurance, PBM, or pharmacy services sectors
Demonstrated ability to convert business needs into analytics solutions, accounting for business requirements, data availability, development time / complexity, and scalability
Excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills, including proven ability to “tell the story”
Ability to identify, learn, and deploy the application/solution/technology best suited to meet each challenge
Strong working knowledge of Office 365 applications
Masters degree in a STEM field
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field, or equivalent work experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$97,335.00 - $201,900.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
