Adult Services Associate

Primary Responsibilities

· Provide reference and readers’ advisory assistance

· Assist patrons with submitting interlibrary loan requests

· Assist patrons with reserving study rooms

· Provide instruction on the Library’s digital offerings and e-sources

· Assist with programs of interest to the community

· Stay current regarding library technology and events

Qualifications

· Associate’s Degree or Library Technical Assistant (LTA) Certificate

· Library experience preferred

· Excellent customer service skills

· Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision

· Ability to learn, adapt, and adopt new technology

· Excellent judgment and discretion in handling library matters

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary / Classification / Hours

• $16.00/hour
• Part-time, 15.5 hours/week
• Schedule:
• Mondays 8:30a-1p
• Fridays 8:30a-1p
• Every other weekend (Saturday 9a-5:15p and Sunday 12-5:15p)
