Skilled Nursing Billing Specialist – Medicare and Third Party Billing

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing and submitting medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining accurate patient billing records. This is a crucial role in our organization as it directly impacts the financial health of our practice.

· Understand Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)

· Utilize billing system in preparation for generating of the Medicare, Medicare Advantage and Third party UB4s

· Receive and post payments in an accurate and timely manner

· Serves as a resource for clients and family members regarding billing questions.

· Refers overdue accounts to collections. Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.

· Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.

· Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.

· Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts.

· Generates monthly billing statements

· Assists Accounting Director in reconciling revenue accounts each month.

· Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.

· Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.

· Verify insurance coverage and monitor authorizations

· Participates in morning status meeting

· Participates in Triple Check process and meeting

· Facilitates monthly AR meeting with CEO, Director of Accounting, Administrators

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
