OVERVIEW
In support of the Office of Admission and Enrollment Management, the Coordinator of Outreach and Recruitment serves as the point person in charge of relationship building while connecting and promoting Kinkaid to student applicants, constituencies, and communities.
The Kinkaid School is a co-educational, nonsectarian day school enrolling over 1,400 students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The student body is divided into the Lower School (PreK - 4th Grade), the Middle School (5th grade - 8th grade) and the Upper School (9th grade - 12th grade). Located on a sixty-five-acre campus in the heart of Houston, Texas, the Kinkaid offers a thriving intellectual community in the midst of a vibrant, urban, and diverse culture.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent The Kinkaid School through activities such as visiting schools, speaking with community groups, and meeting with school counselors and community leaders that align with the Kinkaid mission in order to broaden opportunities for prospective students to consider Kinkaid as a school of application choice
- In coordination with the Admission and Enrollment Management team, develop, coordinate, and deliver outreach programs and marketing strategies to prospective communities and constituencies
- Develop and maintain partnerships between Kinkaid and local schools, community leaders and programs, networks, alumni, and current parents that will help the Outreach and Recruitment of students that represent Kinkaid's mission and core values in support of the School's strategic drivers
- Coordinate the participation of alumni, faculty, staff, administration, and current parents in outreach events
- Prepare reports and proposals regarding recruitment and outreach activities as well as updates on progress on established goals and plans
- Plan and manage outreach events and touch points for applicants to increase yields
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Education, an academic discipline, Public Relations, or Marketing
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship skills
- A commitment to diversity and global education
- An educational philosophy consistent with the mission of the School
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and parents
- Committed to the positive intellectual, moral, personal, and physical growth of young people
- Strong writing, speaking, and organizational skills
