Job Description
We are a 16-bed mental health residential treatment program located in Sylmar, California. Typical diagnoses of our clients include depression, anxiety, delusional disorders, and bipolar disorder. We do not admit anyone as violent or actively psychotic. We are looking for an Executive Program Directorwho has extensive experience operating a residential treatment program and deep knowledge regarding DSS, DHCS, and the Joint Commission requirements along with compliance standards in California.
Job duties are:
This role is performing the full spectrum of duties for day-to-day operations to manage the program.
1. You must be on-call 24/7 to receive calls in case of crises. Calls after 6:00 p.m. are rare.
2. In the event of a crisis, you must be able to come into the facility in person.
3. Oversight of staff and performance
4. Maintain patient satisfaction and prevent non-completion of the program.
5. Interview, hiring, and training of direct care support staff
6. Work with the clinical director to develop client schedules
7. Develop staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage
8, Ensure the safety and maintenance of the facility
9. Sustaining client and staff morale.
10. Coordinating with HR the onboarding of new staff and termination of under-reporting staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Four weekdays and 1 weekend day is required - hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- On call

Experience:
- Joint Commission Accreditation standards: 1 year (Preferred)
Computer and EMR system literacy ((3 years Preferred) - California DSS regulations for MH programs: 1 year (Required)
- California DHCS regulations - 1year (Preferred)
