Veterinary Receptionist

Acacia Animal Hospital is searching for a full-time or part-time Receptionist to join our AAHA-accredited, multi-doctor, small animal + exotics hospital! Individuals with 3+ years of current, hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.

We are searching for a receptionist who pays close attention to detail, has great communication skills, and will uphold our hospital’s team-focused culture. Individuals who are self-starters, committed to the veterinary field, and work well with others would be a great addition to our team. Extra consideration will be given to candidates with Cornerstone and exotic animal experience.

Scheduling needs:

This is a full-time or part-time role comprised of 4-10s Monday-Saturday. Must be able to rotate through Saturdays, even for PT candidates. Must be available 7:30am-6:30pm M-F and 7:30am-3:30pm Sat.

Primary skills/responsibilities:

• Client service and communication
• Welcoming and discharging patients
• Collaboration with other team members
• Managing phone lines
• Booking appointments
• Setting up new clients and patients
• Over-the-counter sales
• Financial transactions
• General front desk duties (email, faxing, filing, etc.)
• Ensuring that the reception area of the hospital is always clean and presentable
• Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings, noticing areas of need within the practice
