Job Description
Performs a variety of administrative functions. Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, and takes dictation. Composes memos, transcribes notes, and researches and creates presentations. Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports. May assist with compiling and developing the annual budget. Requires a high school diploma with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Story Behind the Need – Business Group & Key Projects:
Group: This will be on the Expedite team. We are running a pilot; it's called off manifest coaching. Shipper Coaching. The team is currently reviewing boxes, dims, and weights and if there is any inaccurate reporting between what the seller is putting in the system versus what we receive at our ware house, Client has been absorbing that cost. Part of what our team has been put in place to do for this pilot for the next 3 to 6 months is to coach those top offenders. It's costing Client $30 million a year. We are anticipated to target between $1-2 million trying to recoup that cost back to Client.

Reason/motivation for request: The motivation is to ramp up. With our current headcount, we are strapped. I am not allowed to hire a blue badge at this time. I have 12 total, 4 that I will be using for the Pilot, plus we have peak next week. With our peak volume, the only thing I can do is give overtime, I don't have any more capacity. I have been authorized to hire specifically for this Pilot, to help alleviate the stress. Pulling HC away from my team cost even more.
Typical Day in the Role:
Interaction with team/Day to Day:
- Start of shift, you get a list
- We work out of Excel spread sheets
- Everyone has access to the spread sheets, where they will be reviewing the cost to Client and looking at whether or not a specific dims or weight entry is coachable or non-coachable
- Go into Paragon, create a case. We wait for a shipper to respond to that case
- If they respond to that case, we give them feedback.
- Everything is outlined. They pretty much copy and past the script they use to communicate with the shippers
- Data Accuracy must be 100% accurate. Putting things in the wrong cells could throw everyone off.
- Everyone communicates, hey I am going to update something, so it doesn't impact the other person's work.
Role interesting:
- Working with big retail FBA sellers. Some household names.
- Seeing how much cost impact you are having. (this week you saved us a $200,000, you get to see that up front with your performance.
- A great way to build a new skill set.
- Use Paragon and Client Seller Central
- Able to build your base level skills. Introduced to transportation will open you up to be able to take on future projects
