Duties

Major duties include, but not limited to:

Administrative Support

  • Performs duties that directly support recruitment and retention programming and initiatives.
  • Trends data and communicates findings to stakeholders in an organized format using electronic tools.
  • Creates and maintains project tracking systems to document project needs, progress, and goals.
  • Arranges for and attends program-related meetings to take minutes, including the assignment to and tracking of due-outs for internal and external team members.

  • Collaborates with the Nurse Recruitment team the Public Affairs Office to create a Social Media presence within the community for improved recruitment.
  • Creates candidate information packages from public recruiting sites and those eligible for noncompetitive hiring and submits them timely to the appropriate Nurse Recruiter to initiate recruitment.
  • Maintains a calendar for office staff to track activities and prevent scheduling conflicts.
  • Primary timekeeper for the Nursing Excellence Office and acts as the back-up for timekeepers assigned to Patient Care Services.
  • Collaborates with Medical Media and other internal or external relevant entities to create flyers and other promotional materials for recruitment purposes and other events for maximum exposure.
  • Lead a small workgroup and delegate tasks to complete mass communication or administrative initiatives in support of recruitment and retention or for other teams within the Nursing Excellence Office.
  • Ensures that files include all required documents and is responsible for disposal of outdated files in accordance with records management policies.
Work Schedule: 7:30 - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday
Telework: Regular Telework Allowed up to 4 days per pay period or 2 Days per week

Physical Requirements: Much of the work is sedentary. Work requires prolonged sitting, walking, bending, stooping, pulling heavy drawers, lifting books, computers and associated components, paper, and small to medium sized boxes. Driving may be required between the CTVHCS facilities.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-06 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: Research that utilizes multiple resources to obtain data and statistical information, compiling data and statistical information in an applicable format. Manage equipment inventory and submit equipment request as necessary. Understand and appropriately apply procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise. Knowledge of filing, typing, entering data, maintaining records, taking shorthand, and using and completing forms to create spreadsheets, databases, and reports entering Time and attendance. Work with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
