The Administrative Manager for ACTS at MEM is responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations and hiring, coaching, developing, disciplining, and terminating staff. Reporting to the Station Manager for ACTS at MEM, this person will be responsible for building, improving, and maintaining relationships with clients and employees; developing and retaining staff; and coordinating needed support services to effectively run the accounts to meet or exceed financial, operational, security and safety goals while providing high quality customer service. This position will provide after-hours response as needed, including, but not limited to, emergency response, discipline issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in supervision/management of day-to-day operations.
- Fill in for the Station Manager on vacations and holidays as required. Acts as daily back-up for after-hours calls and emergencies and is required to respond directly to employee and client issues as they arise.
- Ensures all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met
- Assists in management of traffic control officers and shift supervisors, including hiring selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development, and support.
- Collaborates with Station Manager and Aviation Department to develop training and compliance initiatives which consistently reinforce customer service and safety goals of the Traffic Control Team.
- Establishes and maintains a district floater pool.
- Coordinates necessary support services to effectively manage client site to meet or exceed financial, operational, and security goals while providing outstanding customer service.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Builds, improves, and maintains effective relationships with both clients and employees.
- Handles any escalated traffic control issues or emergency situations appropriately.
- Other management responsibilities as determined by the Station Manager.
- Ensures client is provided with high quality traffic control services to protect people and property.
- Tests staff on their responsiveness to customers’ needs and their dedication to a safety culture.
- Communicates staffing needs via requisition form; assists recruiters in identifying, interviewing, and hiring quality candidates.
- Develops staff in both technical and professional skills through performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, training, annual formal performance evaluations, recognition, etc.).
- Assures that employee grievances are heard and resolved (with help from appropriate support employees, as required) and that personnel records are updated and accurate (Change of Status forms, rosters, etc.).
- Communicates policies, company announcements and job openings through consistently updated READ file at each site.
- Provides the basis of a great working environment by treating staff with respect.
- Meets all contractually required hours with a minimum of unbilled overtime.
- Coordinates and conducts site specific OJT training, client-specific training, and annual refresher training for personnel.
- Reconciles activity logs against shift responsibilities and patrols; reviews incident reports prior to submitting to client; and coordinates preliminary investigations.
- Performs account audits and off-hour visits, completing required documentation.
- Develops and maintains operational procedures so that a valid, site-specific OPM and post orders are always available for emergency reference by the traffic control staff.
- Responsible for personnel at client site seven (7) days a week. Must be available in case of emergencies, at all times.
- Efficiently interacts with support staff and negotiates realistic deadlines for needed services.

Salary Range: $60-65,000 annually
