Our podiatry client is growing!! Top Gun Staffing Group LLC has partnered with a well-respected podiatry practice in Haverhill, MA in search of an Administrative Assistant on a permanent, direct-hire basis. The ideal candidate is a friendly, outgoing member of the team who has a positive infectious personality. Clear effective communication is a cornerstone of this position requiring the balance of assertiveness delivered in a polite respectful tone when necessary.
The podiatry practice is a fast-paced medical office where teamwork and the ability to adapt in ever-changing situations are expected. The qualified candidate must bring a level of excellence, medical knowledge, and compassion while delivering a level of professionalism that promotes confidence in the experience from the initial patient call through the end of every office visit. All interactions with patients should solidify trust in the relationships built within the practice and the community.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting and attending to patients (and family members) in-person and over the phone, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment.
- Answering a multiline phone in a professional and courteous manner.
- Scheduling and confirming appointments between clinicians and patients.
- Managing the check-in process for patient visits, including clinical and insurance paperwork, insurance processing, ID verification, collections of copays and balances, etc.
- Managing the check-out process for patient visits including scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Assisting with the complete and accurate documentation of patient visits.
- Assisting with the maintenance of exam rooms and office space, as well as inventory and supply tracking.
- Performing all duties within HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Liaising with external parties with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications include:
- Minimum of 1-year medical office experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures and skills.
- Ability to remain calm and collected when stressful situations arise and prioritize due to the busy nature of the practice.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and EMR Systems (i.e. TRAKnet, ModMed, or similar).
- BLS Certification (preferred).
Hours*:
- Monday - Wednesday and Friday: 8:30AM - 5:00PM
- Thursday: 10:30AM - 7:00PM
*This role is currently scheduled for a 32-hour work week (Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday) but requires flexibility based on the needs of the practice.
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00/hour commensurate with experience
