General Responsibilities
Provides support throughout the planning and implementation of the YouthBuild Grant. Duties include communicating between program partners and grant managers to assist in the planning and management of the grant. Assist with teaching students as needed. Collect and process data within the YouthBuild grant.
Qualifications: Self starter and work independently as well as within a team
Education: High School Diploma required. CTE training and related experience helpful

DUTIES & EXPECTATIONS
1.Promote a positive image of the district always providing positive public relations.
2.Provides career and educational planning including employment preparation classes.
3.Acts as a student advocate.
4.Supports and reinforces the classroom teachers.
5.Serves as a consultant to assist students with post program transition.
6.Counsels individuals and groups toward post program transition.
7.Consults with parents and other family members on individual student needs.
8.Acts as a liaison among the YouthBuild program and public or private agencies.
9. Conducts meetings and schedules workshops..
10. Provides planning and implementing YouthBuild best practices.
11. Is accessible to all students for career, educational, and personal counseling.
12. Consults with partners and local businesses in finding employment opportunities for students.
13. Participates in program development, maintenance, evaluation and enhancement.
14. Consults with DOL and other employment agencies on job placement for students
15. Assumes a leadership role in promoting a positive educational climate.
16. Assist students in pursuing post secondary education.
17. Assists with the intake and exit of students within the program.
18. Assists with establishing positive community service plans.
19. Consults training partners and plans/schedules training as needed to ensure student success.
20. Perform collection of all data needed for program evaluation.

Unusual Working Conditions
Work is performed in a normal office setting. There are no unusual demands of the position. Position is mostly sedentary with extended periods sitting at desk/computer.

Annual written evaluation.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
