We are a well-regarded private medical practice specializing in Mental Health and Wellness in South Anchorage. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our administrative & medical support team.
We are looking for an individual who is compassionate and dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to our patients. You must be organized, detail-oriented, and have the innate ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills that is a team player, but who can also work independently in a self-directed fashion. Most importantly, you must share our passion for helping people achieve mental health and wellness. Professionalism, composure and compassion are essentials. This position involves both administrative responsibilities as well as direct patient care.
Medical office experience is required. A knowledge of basic office equipment and software are a must. We will also provide training for you to become a certified TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) technician. This is a part-time position Monday through Friday 12pm to 6pm. Starting pay $20.00-$24.00 depending on experience.
Job Duties include but not limited to:
- Answering multi-line phones
- Scheduling appointments
- Managing provider schedules
- Taking messages/filing charts
- Functioning as a patient liaison to their providers
- Collecting Co-pay’s, deductibles and past due balances
- E-scribe/calling/faxing in prescriptions
- Appointment reminder calls
- Insurance verification/prior-authorizations and appeals
- Obtaining patient vital signs
- Providing TMS back-up services using our TMS treatment device
- Entering patient chart notes into EHR of TMS treatments provided
- Assisting providers with a variety of administrative tasks
- Must love dogs
Billing/insurance experience is a plus.
