QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of college or successful completion of a formal secretary's preparatory program.
Four years successful performance experience
Excellent usage of English and writing skills
Proficient in computer processes.
Keyboard proficiency of 65 words a minute.
REPORT TO: Building Administrator
JOB GOAL: To perform proficiently and efficiently daily tasks that will provide for continuity and the smooth operation of the school site.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage the office efficiently and in a friendly, cooperative manner at all times
2. Meet and greet parents, visitors, students and teachers pleasantly and professionally
3. Schedule parent/teacher conferences along with the counselors
4. Maintain complete confidentiality
5. Receives, deposits daily, balances and issues cash as the need arises during the day
6. Maintain a regular and confidential filing system, and process incoming correspondence as instructed.
7. Perform minor nursing tasks as directed by supervision
8. Secure substitutes when teachers report an upcoming absence
9. Process requisitions for purchases and maintain supplies as needed
10. Request travel for the principal
11. Prepare additional reports as necessary
12. Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the Principal

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 220 days.
Salary for this position shall be commensurate with the years of experience as determined under the policies and procedures of the Moss Point School District and in accordance with the pay scale.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board of Trustees' policy on evaluation of District personnel.
