Position Summary
Position provides diversified secretarial and administrative support for an individual or department.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinates department administrative services such as typing manuscripts, correspondence; prepares materials and assigns rooms and keys.
  • Maintains calendar of meetings, lectures and seminars for Administrator.
  • Arranges and coordinates meetings for staff.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements, including lodging, visa's, passports and expense reports.
  • Prepares/collects financial material for budgets.
  • Assists in operational areas, providing services as payroll/finance, interim/annual report presentation and related administrative support.
  • Answers phone, screens and routes calls providing information in accordance with department policy.
  • Opens and routes incoming mail, distributes correspondence and other material to department staff.
  • Provides assistance in the day-to-day administration of department. Provides staff support during vacation/illnesses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years college or business school.
  • Working knowledge of varied word processing and PC based systems and other standard office equipment.
  • Familiarity with financial system.
  • Ability to use discretion and good judgement.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
  • One year of experience in an office or administrative support position.

Grade
G06-H
Salary Range
$17.52 - $26.27 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
