What does an Administrative Assistant to Corporate Risk & Information Security do at CNB?

The Administrative Assistant to Corporate Risk and Information Security will support the departments by maintaining department records, researching risk functions, gathering data, preparing reports, assisting with scheduling, preparing for meetings, taking meeting minutes, and assisting with special projects. This role helps ensure compliance with various operating policies, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements. The Administrative Assistant will interact with other divisions and management, while gaining an understanding of all the facets of Corporate Risk and Information Security. This role participates in the development, implementation and administration of the Corporate Risk and Information Security programs.

What competencies are needed to be successful in this role?

  • An Associate’s degree or equivalent normally required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in banking or related field.
  • Experience working in an environment supporting technical disciplines and demonstrated technical aptitude preferred.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, risk management and/or Information Security preferred.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.

What does a successful first year in this position look like?

  1. Assists in scheduling appointments and meetings as instructed, including but not limited to ensuring meeting space (physical room or virtual) is reserved, arranging for refreshments or other special needs, delivering/sending meeting material to participants in advance, etc.
  2. Attends and assists in meetings / appointments as needed, including but not limed to setting-up technical equipment, taking and transcribing minutes, managing technology to share electronic documents, assisting in any follow-up as needed, etc.
  3. Maintains the division’s record keeping and filing systems; classifies, sorts, and files correspondence, forms, reports, and other documents, maintains records and files, often of a confidential nature.
  4. Gathers and assembles data to prepare, complete, and/or process reports, such as expense reports, invoices, mailings; uploads invoices and supports expense and budget reporting for the departments.
  5. As assigned, performs tasks to support BSA/AML, Fraud, Electronic Banking, Enterprise Risk Management, Information Security, Third Party Risk Management, and Business Continuity Management
