This position will provide executive-level support for the Division Chief and Division Administrator, utilizing initiative, judgement and discretion in researching, analyzing and compiling necessary information to assist the Division Chief and Division Administrator in responding to complex issues and compiling special reports. This position will also serve as division specialist and resource to independently coordinate the physician scheduling processes within a specified setting or as designated per operational needs. As principal support, the position responds through verbal and/or written communication to a wide variety of stakeholders, including faculty and Department administration. In this key position, the incumbent will provide support special projects for the Division Chief and Division Administrator. Functioning as an important member of the leadership team for the division, this position requires outstanding judgement, the ability to think out of the box and the ability to represent the division professionally in all modalities.
Most importantly, this position is responsible for managing the operations of the Division Chief and Division Administrator as well as ad hoc high-level projects relating to the strategic plan for Cardiovascular Medicine.

Minimum Qualifications
- Experience working in an executive level office and providing executive-level analytical support.
- Experience working independently and collaboratively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Independent accountability for and ability to prioritize multiple projects, adjust priorities to meet changing needs and complete projects accounting to time frame.
- Must possess competent decision-making and problem-solving skills; adeptness at initiating actions for effective resolution and follow-through.
- Analytical skills to identify and investigate problems, develop action plans, and follow through to completion.
- Skill in communicating clearly and effectively with the public and staff, maintain cooperation and harmony between units and working as a team member.
- Excellent organization and ability to prioritize assignments; knowledge of priority setting strategies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality; to use excellent judgment in determining whether materials are sensitive and/or confidential and to handle with appropriate discretion.
- Knowledge of dynamics of the organization, both operational and political, and must be resourceful and diplomatic in facilitating the completion of the leadership goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or communications or relevant experience
- Experience planning, coordinating and successfully implementing events.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Health System and UCD policies and procedures
