Requirements:
Master’s degree in nursing or related area such as MBA MPA required.
Certification Required: Certification for Emergency Nursing within one year.
BLS, ACLS, PALS through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
Basic Coronary Care obtained within 6 months of hire.
CPI certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
Certification Preferred: CEN or relevant certification strongly desired and TNCC.
Experience:
- 5 years Critical Care Experience
- At least 1 Year ED experience
- 3 Years Progressive Leadership Experience (will consider Assistant Director or Manager).
Moderate sedation competency within six months of hire into this position.
Experience with Microsoft Office products including word, excel and power point & Meditech.
Job Description:
The Director of Critical Care has major responsibility for implementation of strategies and activities designed to achieve and support uncompromising quality, exceptional patient safety and an outstanding patient / family experience. The Director of Critical Care assures the coordination of care across department lines through a focus on systems that promote interdisciplinary collaboration and communication. Responsible for supervision and oversite of the Critical Care areas, Emergency Department, Medic 55 ALS Program
Oversight includes 14 Bed ICU, 24 bed ED, and 10 bed ED (Critical Access hospital).

Supervises:
Nurse Manager, RN-BEDSIDE ED, TECH CLERK ED, PATIENT CARE TECH ED, SR. SECRETARY, NURSING ASST/UNIT CLERK AND SECRETARY ED
