Summary of Duties:
This position serves as the primary point of contact for the Social Work Program in the College of Nursing (CoN) at WSU Tri-Cities. Performs comprehensive administrative support for the faculty, while serving as a liaison for the program leadership. Performs special projects as requested. Responsible for exercising judgment and discretion and will act independently to accomplish a wide variety of duties.

Required Qualifications:
One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 1 OR a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or closely allied field and two years of responsible office experience at the senior clerical level or higher.
Clerical or office work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Graduate study may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Experience preparing correspondence, reports, and/or presentations
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and events
Demonstrated experience effectively handling confidential and sensitive
information
Demonstrated experience providing exemplary customer service
Strong computer skills including familiarity and comfort with using Microsoft Office
Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint as well as Google Docs
Preferred Qualifications:
Effective written and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse clientele
Ability to maintain positive working relationships with diverse groups
Willingness and ability to take on new assignments and learn new skills as required
Experience providing complex administrative oversight and assistance to a senior
administrator preferable in a higher education environment
Experience managing schedules and travel arrangements
Experience working in an academic environment
Experience with Workday Enterprise Management System
Professional trajectory includes increasingly responsible administrative support
experience
Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)

Monthly Salary: $3,145 to $4,174 | Range 37 | Steps A - M
Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 OR applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
