Job Description
Provides administrative support in a variety of functions to an individual, team, department, or other group in an organization. Collects, reviews and analyzes data, and prepares reports, charts, budgets and other presentation materials. Responds to or routes routine inquiries from external or internal sources with standard correspondence or other messaging. Schedules and coordinates meetings, travel, and other group activities. Has basic word processing, spreadsheet and graphics software skills.
Additional Job Description
Education:
Associate Degree in Business, or a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Administrative Assistant work. Additional training or experience in an appropriate field may be substituted for the Associate Degree.
Experience:
Administrative work in an academic environment. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and handle confidential matters with efficiency. Proficiency in word processing, English grammar, composition and mathematical skills required. Experience required in Microsoft Word, EXCEL, and management of databases and/or student information systems. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required. Ability to meet public under a variety of circumstances.
