Active Treatment Coordinator/HM Job Description
The ATC holds primary responsibility for areas of program, household environment and management for the individuals and DSPs. In these areas, the ATC should be involved directly in all assessments, planning, and implementation of services and supports. The ATC should assist in direct training, follow up, and coaching with service staff, keeping management informed at all times. The person in this position has the responsibility to further coordinate a variety of services including but not limited to: individual finances, recreation, health services, family involvement, education/vocational programs, and all other supports/services necessary to ensure a good quality of life. Previous Home Manager experience preferred!
Active Treatment Coordinator Specific Job Duties
- Provide coaching and development of employees on an ongoing basis. Assure thorough and complete orientation of new staff ass applicable. Monitor staff development activities and ensure in-services are provided to meet the company’s requirements
- Develop and maintain a working relationship with outside contacts including but not limited to: parent/family member, county board personnel, licensure, guardian, law official, etc. through regular communication, as assigned by management.
- Organize the routines of the home using person-centered philosophy according to individual needs.
- Maintain all supplies including but not limited to OSHA, behavior management program and office supplies
- Know and assure implementation of all programmatic and personnel policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in meetings as requested to stay abreast of company issues, policy and procedure changes, personnel updates and general information.
- Maintain and ensure that the home’s schedule is being adhered to and work to cover any open positions by utilizing the Agency procedures for filling open shifts, including utilizing the PRN employees.
- Assure staff schedules are developed and implemented according to the needs of the individuals and within budgetary parameters. Coordinates scheduling and individual involvement in community activities.
