We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our scheduling system and providing exceptional customer service to our patients. Duties:
- Manage and maintain responsibility for the scheduling system for patient appointments
- Coordinate with patients to schedule appointments and follow-up visits
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information in the scheduling system
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments
- Collaborate with dental staff to optimize scheduling efficiency and populate schedule to desired daily goals
- Assist with record management and documentation
- Present treatment and answer financial questions related to patient treatment
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or medical setting is preferred
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus
- Proficiency in using phone systems and handling multiple incoming calls
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry and file management
- Knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling procedures
- Experience as a dental receptionist or medical receptionist is beneficial
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
