Accounts Receivable/Data Entry

Job Overview:
We are a family owned commuter Van Pool serving Metro DC. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our exceptional team as an Accounts Receivable Clerk and Data Entry Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely payments from our clients, as well as maintaining customer and vehicle information in our database. This is a vital role within our organization, as you will play a key part in managing our accounts receivable process, and maintaining key business details.

Duties:

- Process and record incoming payments from customers

- Make Bank Deposits/Account Transfers as needed

- Record WMATA SmartBenefits recieved via EFT in QuickBooks Online Monthly

- Process DOT/Transerve Debit Card Payments and record In Quickbooks Online Monthly

- Process Credit Card Payments as Needed

- Record Monthly Driver Credits in QBO.

- Prepare and send invoices & statements to customers

- Process refunds, reimbursements, transfer subsidies

- Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts

- Reconcile discrepancies in payments and resolve billing issues

- Maintain accurate records of all transactions in databases and spreadsheets

- Perform data entry tasks related to accounts receivable/Van Riders

- File and maintain documents related to accounts receivable

- Assist with QBO reconciliations, Insurance Claims and other administrative tasks as needed

- Transcribe financial data accurately

Qualifications:
- Strong basic math skills
- Proficient in Quickbooks Online (Required)
- Familiarity with databases (FileMaker experience preferred)
- Ability to organize and file documents effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous experience in an administrative or accounting role

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
