Accounts Receivable/Billing Accountant

Short's Travel Management, a leading provider of collegiate athletic travel, has an immediate opening for an A/R Accountant for our Charters division. This role will be responsible for all billing, posting, and reconciling of accounts receivable for our charters division. This will include adding signed contracts to Stack’s accounting section ensuring all necessary criteria is met, billing our customers for both a deposit and balance invoices in a timely manner, working with other team members to reconcile fuel and other supplemental costs to ensure timely billing of our customers. The AR Accountant will pull the bank details daily and post cash receipts. The AR accountant will also be responsible for following up with our clients timely on open items and collections. This position will maintain strong communication and relationships with our clients.

Essential Functions:

• Process all charters billing in a timely manner for charters trips and supplemental billings.
• Post cash receipts daily
• Follow up with customers on open items and overdue accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts and follow up with open items.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with Salesforce is preferred but not required.
• Ability and willingness to learn new programs/processes that may be adopted moving into the future.

Qualifications:

• Possess an associate degree or higher in Business or Accounting
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping OR an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Charter/aviation experience preferred/a plus.
