Part-Time Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist

Your Mission:
Your mission in this role is to proactively manage financial transactions and engage with our clients to ensure outstanding account balances are resolved efficiently. As a Part-Time Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist, you will be instrumental in maintaining robust communication channels with our office staff, field technicians, and management, all while investigating and resolving payment discrepancies with meticulous attention to detail. Your actions will directly impact our financial stability and customer relations.
Key Behavioral Responsibilities:

  1. Efficiency and Precision: You will be responsible for efficiently processing customer payments, ensuring their accuracy, and timeliness, demonstrating a strong commitment to financial accuracy and integrity.
  2. Customer-Centric Collections: Actively pursue resolution of past due accounts with a focus on preserving our client relationships, understanding their unique circumstances, and providing solutions.
  3. Effective Communication: Create and dispatch accurate statements and past-due notices while handling collections for accounts with outstanding balances decisively. Your communication skills will be paramount in achieving successful outcomes.
  4. Collaborative Approach: Collaborate seamlessly within a team and work autonomously as needed to prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple projects with precision.
  5. Attention to Detail: Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies with meticulous attention to detail to maintain financial accuracy.
  6. Financial Reporting: Produce, analyze, and update various financial reports to provide valuable insights for the company.
  7. Customer Relations: Tackle customer queries, including challenging situations, with professionalism, demonstrating empathy and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  8. Adherence to Company Policies: Strictly comply with company policies and safety practices to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.

Work Schedule and Compensation:
  • Part-time position: 3-5 hours a day between 8 AM - 5 PM.
  • Starting pay: $20 per hour.

What You Bring to the Table:
  1. Demonstrated Stability: Your previous employment history should demonstrate your commitment and reliability.
  2. Accounts Receivables Experience: Essential experience in managing Accounts Receivables.
  3. Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
  4. Compliance: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
  5. Customer-Facing Experience: At least 2 years of experience in customer-facing roles, showcasing your strong interpersonal skills.
  6. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in tools like Excel, Word, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., demonstrating your tech-savvy nature.
  7. Collections Experience (Advantageous): While not mandatory, collections experience is advantageous and will be viewed positively.
  8. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective customer engagement.
