Patient Accounts Receivable Manager

Summary: Manages the Patient Accounts Receivable department including financial counseling and outreach and enrollment activities. Supports the PCHC Accounts Receivable system. Performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission of Peoples Community Health Clinic (PCHC).

Essential Functions:

• Manages the Patient Accounts Receivable department including financial counseling and outreach and enrollment.
• Performs Patient Accounts Receivable functions.
• Supports PCHC Accounts Receivable system.
• Completes 3rd party payer credentialing and re-credentialing applications.
• Manages sufficient, qualified staff to ensure safe, quality patient care.
• Responsible for staff development.
• Coordinates and implements the collection process.
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers.
• Supports a service-oriented atmosphere in accordance with PCHC Mission and Philosophy.
• Works to improve work processes and clinical outcomes including health disparity and quality improvement collaboratvies.
• Follows policies and procedures.
• Develops and maintains own competence.
• Maintains a safe working environment and practices safe working habits.
• Assists in control of PCHC resources.
• Protected Health Information Access (HIPAA) Patient Records – Yes Medical Information System - Yes
• Ensures the privacy and security of merchant card transactions and data.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years medical billing and Accounts Receivable experience. Management in related field preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Products (ex. Excel, Word, Access, Power Point) and Windows Platform. 10-key knowledge. Must be comfortable moving within an EMR computer system regularly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $58,760.00 per year
