Accounts Receivable Specialist

Our client, Dan’s Overhead Doors, located in North Liberty, IA is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist. An ideal candidate would be self-motivated, innovative, and able to work with a team and autonomously when necessary. We are looking for a candidate who is willing to jump in and grow along with our company!

As a member of the Dan’s Overhead Door team, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible to:

• Processing daily work orders by allocating labor hours and materials in preparation for invoicing.
• Accurately generate and deliver detailed invoices to customers ensuring unique and specific guidelines have been honored.
• Support Technicians with obtaining service totals for on-site collections.
• Process, receive and apply customer payments through multiple medias.
• Provide accurate and professional customer support while clearing invoice inquiries.
• Routinely perform collection calls to customers regarding past due payments.
• Support team members including, but not limited to; in house counter sales, setting up new customer accounts, answering service calls, backing up accounts payable, supporting sales staff with work order and invoice adjustments as needed and assist with inventory tracking.
• Complete accurate and timely month end closings duties.
• Assist with answering incoming phone calls.
• Strong attention to detail.
• General office duties.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Previous accounting experience.
• Organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and customer service skills.
  
• High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Must be self-motivated and resourceful.
• Personable and come with a can-do attitude.

Schedule:

• 40 hours a week.
• Monday to Thursday, 7:30am-4:30pm
• Friday, 7:30 am-4:00 pm
