Physician Hospital Organization located in Genesee County is hiring a Finance Receivables Clerk for the Burton, MI office. The duties and qualifications for this position are detailed below and the position is immediately available. The hospital organization was created to improve the Community's overall health, by aligning the interests of the patients, physicians and hospital.
Duties:
- Reconcile all electronic insurance payments to bank report
- Reconcile all lockboxes to bank reports (Insurance & Patient Payments)
- Prepare daily deposit totals to be transferred
- Prepare daily spreadsheets to be sent to Revenue Cycle Management Department for posting
- Assist Revenue Cycle Management Department with questions regarding transferred claims
- Assist in setting up appropriate payment types/addresses with payers as needed
- Prepare IPA incentive spreadsheet with backup
- Sort through and distribute all miscellaneous mail per account to appropriate departments
- Miscellaneous finance projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proficient with computers
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize & meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiar with insurance explanation of benefits
- 1 year healthcare experience preferred, not required
