We are a growing restaurant smallware wholesaler looking for full time office assistants for our headquarter in Piscataway, NJ. The Accounts Receivable clerk is responsible for the collection and receipts of funds being paid to the company. This role is responsible for ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed to account for the receipt of payment for goods and services completed by the company.
Essential Functions:
- Transfer invoices to customers, and follow up on collections to make sure customers are paying on time.
- Resolve customers' issues with copies of invoices, credit memos and past due invoices.
- Apply customer payments, processes credit card payments and credits, prepares manual deposits.
- Researches and solves payment discrepancies, and makes adjustments to accounts as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and communicate in person and via phone with the customer to promote timely payments.
- Establish and maintain a professional attitude at all times when dealing with consumers and their past due accounts.
Required Education and Experience
- Associate degree in accounting.
- Two to three years’ previous experience.
- Must be computer literate.

Pay: $22.68 - $27.32 per hour
