Education Requirement: Associates Degree in Accounting Required. Bachelor's preferred.

```Job Summary```
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be proficient in various accounting software systems. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Accounts Payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payments to vendors.

```Responsibilities```
- Process and review invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
- Verify accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and process payments to vendors
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding issues related to payments.
- Maintain accurate records of all Accounts Payable transactions; post journal entries.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable and bank reconciliations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper coding and approval of invoices
- Respond to vendor inquiries PROMPTLY.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as requested for internal and external audits.

```Skills```
- Not-for-profit experience preferred.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable.

- Fund EZ experience preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

- Must be analytical and articulate

- Proven ability to interact with all levels of management

- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision

It would be considered a plus if you have a background in Not-for-Profit or governmental accounting.
