Salary Range:
- $38,863-$60,196 based on applicable experience.
- Family/Single insurance or opt-out payment available.
Days/Hours:
- Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day
- 260 days per fiscal year, of which 12 are paid holidays.
- 10 paid vacation days per year after first year, and 3 personal days.
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma required.
- Associates degree or higher preferred.
- Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.
Skills, Abilities, Knowledge & Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of public school Accounts Payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, and finances.
- Knowledge of school laws and regulations.
- Computer literacy, including typing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills and positive attitude.
- Ability to develop, revise, enforce and educate staff regarding purchasing policies and procedures.
- Ability to work with accuracy on tasks requiring sustained attention to details.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Process refunds and prepare account transfers as needed.
- Investigate and balance returned checks.
- Maintain inventory listing of fixed assets in all buildings and departments as well as assist with physical inventory procedures.
- Review and confirm correct budget codes are utilized and provide recommendations and guidance to building secretaries and principals when needed.
- Process, create, compile, and distribute purchase orders from requisitions that are entered at the building and department levels.
- Prepare check runs and ACH payments to vendors.
- Maintain purchase order file, filing invoices, and processing payments to vendors.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain files, distribute mail, and answer phones.
- Coordinate annual records disposal throughout the district.
- Explain and track employee benefit enrollments, including health insurance, life insurance, annuities.
- Work with outside vendor to meet ACA reporting requirements.
- Prepare and deliver deposits to bank as needed.
