Overview
TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a globally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US and around the world. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. TRC acts nationally to address some of our country's most challenging problems: global climate change and energy independence.

TRC Advanced Energy created a Workforce Development program to strengthen our connection to the local community and create enhanced employment opportunities for individuals desiring to enter the clean energy workforce.
TRC is seeking a hardworking, eager-to-learn Field Support Apprentice for a 14-week, paid Workforce Development program. As a Field Support Apprentice, you will learn the skills necessary to effectively collect information about building components and systems at income-qualified multifamily properties, use the data collected in the field to come back with valuable energy upgrade recommendations, and use strong customer service skills to help the participant to understand program procedures. By the end of the apprenticeship, you will have a proficient understanding of energy efficiency and a respectful approach that supports the income-qualified community. Prepare for hands-on training in the field as well as developing your desktop skills.

Responsibilities
On-the-Job Training includes but is not limited to:
- Mentorship with an experienced Energy Advisor.
- Exposure to building energy audits and analysis.
- Exposure to multiple phases of project cycles, such as conducting facility audits, completing safety testing, energy benchmarking, scope of work design, project review, construction monitoring, close-out verification.
- Collecting data, data entry, processing and maintaining accurate project data.
- Exposure to managing project data with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Learn program requirements, such as eligible measures, expected timelines, incentive reservation status, and other information of interest to customers.
- Exposure to collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Opportunity to interact with customers and key players in the market.
- Opportunity to make an impact for energy equity with the local community.
- Training on corporate policies and procedures and best practices for remote team communications.
Qualifications
- Valid US Driver's License with no restrictions
- Reliable personal transportation
- Ability to travel up to 50% in the field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management skills
- Strong computer skills: experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with demonstrated attention to detail.
- Verifiable work history
- Reliable home internet service
- Ability to set up home office using company-provided equipment
- Desire to learn energy efficiency concepts
- Construction background is a plus
In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition:$25 per hour
