Job Description:
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, managing payment schedules, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization and contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting department.
Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and adherence to company policies.
Review and reconcile vendor statements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
Manage payment schedules and ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any invoice or payment-related issues.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date Accounts Payable records and documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes as needed.
Provide excellent customer service to vendors, responding to inquiries and resolving any payment-related concerns promptly.
Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in Accounts Payable regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and best practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Solid tenure and stable work history, demonstrating commitment and reliability.
Location and Work Arrangement:
This is a hybrid position that requires working both on-site at our Tysons Corner, VA office and remotely. The specific schedule and arrangement will be determined based on the needs of the role and the company. Flexibility and adaptability are important qualities for this position.
