Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities:
- Process Accounts Payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments
- Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for proper coding and approval
- Perform data entry of invoices into the accounting system
- Analyze vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Prepare and process journal entries related to Accounts Payable transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations
- Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments
- Support the corporate accounting team with general ledger accounting tasks
- Maintain organized and up-to-date files and documentation for all Accounts Payable transactions

Qualifications:
- Must have 3 - 5 years experience in Accounts Payable and some college studies in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficient in data entry and analysis
- Familiarity with journal entries and general ledger accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices and payments
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Note: Technical accounting knowledge is a plus but not required for this role.
