LHH is looking for a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client-growing company in Kirkland, WA. This role is a 6-month contract that will be fully onsite and the client location.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:
Receive and review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval.
Code and enter invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner.
Vendor Management:
Maintain vendor files, including W-9 forms, contact information, and payment terms.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.
Payment Processing:
Prepare and process weekly or monthly check runs.
Initiate electronic payments and ensure accuracy of payment details.
Expense Reimbursements:
Process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Verify receipts and documentation for accuracy and adherence to policies.
Month-End Reconciliation:
Reconcile Accounts Payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
Assist in month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable.
Reporting:
Generate and analyze Accounts Payable reports to support financial analysis.
Provide information for budgeting and forecasting processes.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in Accounts Payable processes.
Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations affecting Accounts Payable.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address inquiries and resolve issues.
Assist in special projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting is a plus.
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.
Familiarity with accounting software; experience with SAP, QuickBooks, or similar systems is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Compensation: $28-$32/hour
