Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records and providing support in various accounting functions. Responsibilities
>Perform monthly credit card, bank statement, and general ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial transactions
>Prepare monthly financial statements
>Prepare year-end general ledger reports and financial statements
>Handle full set of books for separate real estate investments
>Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance
>Assist other team members as needed
>Accounts Payable
--Review vendor invoices with field employees for accuracy
--Prepare and process invoices for payment weekly/monthly as required
--Set up job costing and allocate costs accurately to individual jobs
--Prepare and run job cost report for management review on monthly basis
--Prepare detailed job cost for year-end financial/tax preparation
--Maintain up-to-date property improvements records
--Prepare and distribute 1099 to vendors per federal reporting deadline
>Accounts Receivable
--Maintain accurate and up-to-date lease records
--Ensure on time rent payments; follow up as needed and immediately notify management of any delay or non-payment
--Ensure proper certificates of insurance are received on time and uploaded to Dropbox
--Lease renewal – coordinate with other team members on lease renewals
--Prepare rental income schedule by property on a monthly and yearly basis
--Maintain proper record of security deposit received and returned – prepare monthly and year -end schedule for management review
>Payroll
--Keep track of payroll record and submit for processing
--Keep proper payroll for job allocation on monthly basis
Qualifications
>Experienced full charge accountant
>Good academic background preferred

>Ability to handle a full set of books independently
>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
>Detail-oriented
>Strong work ethic
>Efficient and effective communication
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
