Position: Fire Sprinkler Designer

American Fire Protection, Inc. (AFP) - a 50-year-old Fire Sprinkler Contractor licensed to work in SC, NC, GA, and TN headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina. Our work is focused on industrial, commercial, and residential construction. AFP is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Designer that is motivated, detail oriented, a self-starter, and able to lead and project manage.

The Designer will create Fire Protection Systems layouts, which will comply with product specifications, NFPA and Building Codes. The Designer should be well-versed in NFPA, hydraulic calculations, and pre-fabrication project listing.

Job Requirements:

Experience in Fire Sprinkler systems design preferred

NICET Level II or higher is Preferred in Water-Based Systems Layout

Proficient in AutoCAD and HydraCAD along with Microsoft Office programs.

Compensation:

Salary Range: Based on Experience

(*Experience Scale: 2 years-experience: $25/HR; 7 year+ with NICET Level 3: $35/HR)

Bonuses based on Quality of Work

Office Hours:

Monday - Thursday from 7:00a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (10-hour shifts, 4 days)

Benefits:

Simple IRA starts after 6 months and AFP provides a 3% match of Base Salary.

We observe the following paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

We offer paid vacation: 1 week after 6 months; 2 weeks after 1 year.

We do not offer health insurance, but do have a list of recommended individual insurance brokers that specialize in helping find the best individual plans available.
