The Accounting Payroll Clerk is responsible to process Associates payroll making sure the correct codes are entered in the payroll system so IRS withholding taxes and relevant deductions. This individual will also assist HR and/or Benefits with special reports and various projects as needed.
He/She would ensure payroll is processed on a timely matter following Aimbridge Hospitality Standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of payroll experience in an hourly labor environment
- UltiPro proficiency in Payroll & Timekeeping software preferred
- Fundamental Payroll Certificate (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus
- Knowledge of applicable state & federal wage & hour laws.
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure
- Capable of working independently & as a team member with general supervision
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight schedules
- Excellent customer service time-management & prioritization skills a must
- Strong analytical skills
- Commitment to accuracy & quality
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in Word & Excel with clear written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidential information
- Ability to work weekends and holidays if needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly service oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards)
- Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Ensure hotel billing is processed and mailed in a timely fashion.
- Generate payroll reports when needed.
- Maintain a filing system for payroll documents.
- As directed assist the Property Accountant with Accounts Receivable administration if needed.
- Assist with filing of Human Resources and Accounting Paperwork.
- Assist Human Resources with Tracking and File Audit process
- Other duties as required.
