Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, financial acumen, and experience with accounting software.
Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Conduct credit analysis and assist with collections
- Assist with tax preparation and filing
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working in an accounting role or similar position
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Workday, Sage, or PeopleSoft
- Familiarity with financial services industry is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
