Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a kind and energetic individual who can excel as an Accounting Clerk by handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other bookkeeping tasks. Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding and entry into the accounting system
• Prepare and process weekly check runs for payments to vendors
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status or invoice discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable and receivable files and records
• Confirm orders and send invoices daily to customers
• Review customer accounts for accuracy
• Research invoice entries and correct invalid deductions
• Contact customers to resolve uncollected payments
• Answer customer phone calls and enter orders as needed

Required Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience working in accounts payables and/or accounts receivables
• Ability to engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Basic knowledge of accounting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Manufacturing / Production environment
• Experience with accounting programs, including Sage/Peachtree and QuickBooks
