Your Role:
As an Accounting Clerk, you'll work closely with our Director of Finance, playing a pivotal role in maintaining our financial records and supporting various accounting functions. Your attention to detail, proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, GAAP, and commitment to accuracy will be invaluable in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Code and enter all A/P and A/R.
- Process and mail checks.
- Review and process credit card statements.
- Prepare grant reporting monthly.
- Assist with month-end close, including financial reporting and forecasting.
- Assist with GL account reconciliations.
- Assist in annual budgeting.
- Asset tracking management
- Assist in completing the annual financial audit.
- Manage AP email inbox.
- Manage annual preparation and distribution of 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC forms.
- Manage supply procurement for the admin team, copy area, and breakroom.
- Manage organizational systems of admin supplies, copy area, and breakroom.
- Codify Finance Department procedures.
- Creates and maintains accounting and general files.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Answer phones as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Provide support as requested at events which may require work on evenings. and/or weekends approximately 3 - 4 times per year.
Employment Requirements:
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and GAAP required.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Self-starter, capable of executing high-quality work with little supervision.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in writing and in person.
- Quick learner, able to learn new software as needed.
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Good judgment and discretion with confidential matters.
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Extended walking and standing at events and pre-event inspection visits.
- Occasional lifting, up to 50 pounds.
- Moderate sitting at a computer and using the phone.
- Perform work at offices and events, both indoors and outdoors.
