Accounting Clerk - Full-time - Position Summary
The Accounting Clerk position will help to support the Finance Department with daily tasks and data entry to support multiple business units with accounting and cashier tasks. This position can accommodate a flexible full-time schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Cashier duties which include bank deposits, change orders and cash drops
• Weekly direct billing and monthly wholesale billing
• Monitor Accounts Receivable aging and prepare statements when required
• Input accounts payable invoices daily with proper general ledger coding
• Field and follow up invoice questions with vendors & customers
• Process bi-weekly check runs, and ad-hoc check requests
• Maintain vendor files with contracts, W9's, and W8's
• Process and reconcile all credit card statements submitted by credit card holders
• Process month end journal entries relating to accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assist with year-end audit
• Perform other accounting tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, customers and co-workers.
• 1-3 years of Accounting Experience (AR/AP)
• 1-3 years of accounting software experience
• Associate degree or equivalent experience
• Ten key adding machine skills
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent writing and mathematical skills
• Ability to work independently and meet assigned due dates
• Detail oriented
