Job Description
Essential Duties:
- Establishes baselines and improvement plans for existing product
- Designs Final and First Piece Inspection programs for existing product
- Promotes ACE culture
- Ensures good communication and coordination between Inspection and Engineering; understands/clarifies processes
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Working knowledge programming CMM's with latest Zeiss/Calypso software
- Understanding of editing principals in accordance with ASME Y14.5
- Programming in both Teach mode and off-line
- Ability to troubleshoot and modify existing programs as required
- Coordinating Quality results with Manufacturing and Engineering to remove roadblocks and solve problems
- Ability to design inspection fixturing preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities that may be required:
- Supporting the QA Manager utilizing supervisor skills as required
- Monthly reports to management
- Improving teams' technical abilities on CMM's through one-on-one training
- Helping train machinists in proper operation of CMM
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years programming CMM's utilizing blue prints and solid modeling
- Must have well rounded experience in machining of Aerospace and Semi-conductor hardware.
- 1-3 years experience in supervisory or lead position preferred
