Your Purpose as an Accounting Clerk:
- Bill all new and used car deals and post into accounting
- Receipt all monies received for new and used car deals and dealer trades.
- Organize all paperwork in each deal; check for completeness (signatures, verify VIN, etc.)
- Process pay-off checks for trade-ins in a timely manner.
- Process dealer trades in and out.
- Generate and maintain the sales person's commission reports
- Route paid deals to the tag and title clerk for processing as soon as money is received
- Process contracts and related vehicle sales documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain accounting schedules, reconcile differences and make journal entry adjustments as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Automotive dealership experience is preferred but will train the right candidate
- 1-3 years of experience working in an accounting role
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Positive attitude & very outgoing personality
- Exceptional written & oral communication skills
- Ability to multi task
