Spherion Staffing in Lakeland has partnered with a local manufacturing facility who is looking to add an experienced accounting clerk to their growing team. The accounting clerk will interface with accounting, manufacturing and management personnel to provide accurate timely reporting and analysis of financial and operational information.

Monday - Friday
8am - 5pm
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting cycle by assisting in the management of AR/AP and all general ledger entries.
- Responsible for all aspects of Accounts payable and Accounts receivable
- Maintains standard cost system, including analysis of bills of materials, pricing, usage, and scrap.
- Reviews weekly invoicing, the process of payables
- Maintains a fixed asset continuity schedule to endure depreciation is accurately recorded at the close of each period.
- Assists in monthly closing, forecasting, and annual budgeting processes.
- Audits the physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Coordinates and assists the controller in preparing financial reporting packages on a quarterly and annual basis.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Experience with manufacturing cost (5+ years preferred)
- Experience with cost accounting (5+ years preferred)
- Experience in manufacturing environments (5+ years preferred)
Education:
High School
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
- Must have High School Diploma/GED
- Must have experience in Bills of Materials
- Must have experience in policy design and implementation procedures
