Our client is the world’s leading manufacturer of closed-cell, cross-linked block foams.
Full process manufacturing facility includes plastic extrusion lines and high-pressure nitrogen gassing. The manufacturing facility utilizes all three stages of a proprietary process to create foam that is superior in strength, consistency, quality, and purity superior to foams produced by other methods. Products are used in a wide range of markets including automotive, aviation, aerospace, construction, medical, health and beauty, packaging, transporting, and sports and leisure.
Job Summary:
The Project Manager will ensure all projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget. Lead the initiation and planning of a project and ensure technical feasibility. Ensure resource availability and allocation. Develop a detailed plan to monitor and track the progress of each project.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Validate objectives, deliverables, and means with the sponsor.
- Define a strategy to obtain deliverables with the project team together with associated deadlines (Roadmap).
- Estimate resources necessary for the success of each stage of the project.
- Define the roles and responsibilities of the project team. Establish objectives and scope of activities with each project member.
- Identify standard problems and alternate solutions based on a range of factors.
- Lead and coordinate the development, execution, and deployment of projects.
- Manage project resources and budgets.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
- Identify additional resources where necessary and take appropriate steps to obtain them.
- Proactively identify and manage crises that may impact the success of the project/study.
- Manages complex, multifaceted, interrelated projects that span own area or department boundaries.
- Determines resource requirements for multi-faceted or multi-stage projects.
- Applies recognized project management methodology to manage scope, resources, time, costs, quality, risks, and communications.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of solutions after implementation.
- Prioritizes resources across initiatives/programs.
- Verifies that activities are not duplicated.
- Leads the implementation of systems to monitor and evaluate progress and use of resources (e.g., financial, non-financial, historical, and prospective information).
- Implements mechanisms to evaluate outcomes.
- Monitors coordination, as needed, across related projects.
- Routinely report on progress of the project to key individuals.
- Define project/study success criteria and communicate them to involved parties throughout the project.
- Define change management plan and ensure deployment.
- Ensure that appropriate training is available.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be team-oriented and collaborative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have extensive experience with manufacturing facility expansion.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and experience with Microsoft Project
Education and Experience:
- At least 5 years in Industrial project management, process equipment installation experience preferred.
- BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent of education and/or experience.
- PMP certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse the facility.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
