Accounting Clerk

Perform routine clerical accounting duties within a fast-paced finance department while adhering to established standards and serve as a resource for the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams.
Responsibilities:
- Review all accounts payables invoices for signature approvals and appropriate backup documentation. Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
- Match and code vendor invoices in ERP system and attach appropriate backup.
- Assist with weekly check runs including the selection of invoices for payments, ACH file preparation, issuing checks through a banking pay system and preparing international wire transfers.
- Process all cash applications and credit card receipts in ERP system.
- Ensure that all necessary documents have been provided by customers and the sales department to convert Quotes to Sales Orders.
- Send invoices to customers via email and/or submit through customer supplier portals.
- Correspond with customers / vendors / employees / governmental agencies and respond to inquiries.
- Perform general office duties such as digital filing and handling routine correspondence.
- Assist with year-end audit request.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Natural proficiency with math
- Knowledge of basic financial, tax, and accounting principles
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and aptitude for learning new systems.
- Local travel to other facilities in Lawrenceville, GA are expected.
Education:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting- minimum required
