Accounting Clerk

Overview:

The Accounting Clerk is an entry-level position responsible for assisting the Accounting Department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the Company. This position reports to the Corporate Controller.

Qualifications & Necessary Attributes:

• Minimum high school diploma
• 2-years minimum accounting experience
• Strong verbal and written communications required
• Good data entry skills are required
• Outstanding team player with good interpersonal skills
• Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work
• Self-motivated with ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and maintain control of a high-volume workload
• High attention to detail
• Experience using accounting software a plus

Essential Functions:

• Filing & maintenance of accounting records (AP/AR/Subcontractor Insurance, Credit Card Authorizations, etc.)
• Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Serve as backup to Accounts Payable clerk
• Internal auditing as instructed by Controller
• Cross-train in other areas of the Accounting Department as deemed necessary by the Controller
• Audit support as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
