Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to the Accounting Department. A successful candidate will have knowledge of basic accounting principles and the ability to work with financial data effectively.

• Accurately code and enter various invoices, vouchers, expense reports, and check requests into company system according to established procedures
• Digitally file, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, records, and reports as needed
• Assist with monthly reconciliations, as needed
• Ability to follow-up on additional information
• Perform other duties as required to support Accounting Department
• Assist accounting department with special projects as assigned

• Ability to perform basic math; addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and calculate percentages

• Ability to meet deadlines
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and terminology

Experience and Education Requirements

• Accounting skills and knowledge preferred
• Experience in a professional service organization, architecture a plus
• Experience in 10-key by touch strongly preferred
• Computer literacy, with experience of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
