Job Description
Our client is an established Commercial Real Estate group seeking to hire an experienced accounting assistant to work part-time or full-time including candidates currently attending accounting courses at either CSUN or any local college living within a commutable distance to Studio City.
This is a full-time direct-hire position. Depending on experience, they are offering $23-$25 an hour plus a robust benefits package. This position is onsite Monday-Friday standard business hours with a flexible schedule for College Students. The Accounting Clerk will manage both accounts payable and accounts receivable, posting rent checks, handling charge backs to tenants, and supporting the property accountants with ad hoc reporting.
Ideal Candidate: Offers accounts payable experience, is detail-oriented, organized, and has excellent communication skills. Microsoft Office proficiency required; Yardi experience is a plus. The ideal candidate has worked in commercial property management and understands the coding between CAM expenses vs. capital repairs, tenant chargebacks, etc.

Accounting Clerk
Purpose of the position:
To provide Administrative and Accounting support to the assigned Property Accountant and Accounting Staff
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Primary Duties
- Post all AR Deposits (support)& General/Fox Account (including lockbox)
- SinglePoint Exception Processing/Positive Pay
- Post Late Fees to Tenant Accounts
- Post One Time Charges & Send to Tenants Via Email
- Tenant Billing Review
- Wire & ACH Set Up as Needed (including mortgage payments)
- Balance Sheet Rollover
- Sweeps
- Lender Financials
- Promissory Notes for Investments
- Verify Tenant Chargebacks
As Required Duties
- Misc. Accounting Tasks
- Assist with annual preparation of CAM letters and mailings for Tenants
Skills/Requirements
- High School Diploma; some college Accounting preferred
- Microsoft Office proficient
